The death has taken place of Canon Joe Cooney former director of the Knock Marriage Bureau. Canon Cooney was also a former administrator at Tuam Cathedral and also served as Parish Priest of Ballyhaunis. He was also responsible for religious broadcasts on Midwest radio for many years.
