| A woman was rescued from the River Moy by a passerby yesterday |

afternoon. The female entered the river in Ballina Town when a passerby raised the alarm and came to her rescue. She was later taken to hospital where she received medical treatment. Superintendent Joe Doherty would like to thank those involved in the rescue on behalf of her family and Ballina Garda Station.
