CHINESE ships trained their lights upon Philippine Navy surveillance planes to drive them away from Kagitingan Reef in the West Philippine Sea, a military official confirmed Thursday. Western Command chief Rear Admiral Alexander Lopez said the ships were believed to be naval warships, but denied earlier reports that they fired illumination rounds.
