Areas of the UK are now said to be in “uncharted territory” after record levels of flooding, with more heavy rain forecast for later in the week. The Met Office recorded a total of 6.14 inches (156.2mm) of rain at Cray Reservoir in Powys in the 48 hours from Friday to Sunday morning.
