Fr Paul Dempsey has been parish priest at Newbridge Co Kildare.
While in Kildare town, Fr Paul Dempsey began writing weekly articles for the Leinster Leader and hosting a programme on Kildare FM.
The new Catholic Bishop of diocese in the west of is to be Fr (49), current parish priest of Co Kildare .
