| New Bishop appointed to Diocese of Achonry |

Fr Paul Dempsey has been appointed as the new Bishop of Achonry. Fr Dempsey who comes from Carlow, has spent 22 years serving as a priest in Kildare in the Diocese of Kildare & Leighlin. He was ordained to the priesthood in July 1997. Speaking earlier to Ocean FM, Fr Paul outlined how is looking forward to taking up the role.
