CHARLOTTE, N.C. — David Tepper is entrusting Baylor’s Matt Rhule to lead the Carolina Panthers out of what he views as a cycle of “long term mediocrity.” The Panthers announced Tuesday that the 44-year-old Rhule has agreed to become the team’s next head coach.
