NATIONAL ORDER OF MERIT COMPANION. KARMENU VELLA KOM. Born in Zurrieq in 1950, Karmenu Vella graduated in Architecture and Civil Engineering from the University of Malta, and later obtained a Master of Science in Tourism Management from the University of Sheffield.
