“Awake” — the first studio album in 15 years from popular Christian collective Hillsong Worship — didn’t come without struggle. Recording in their defacto home city of Sydney, Australia, a “freak storm” led to the Hillsong studio being bombarded with power outages, hail damage and rain pouring through the ceiling.
