Thieves stole more than 100 handmade poppies which had been placed on display outside a village church in time for The poppies, which were created with the bottoms of plastic bottles, were stolen from the grass verge outside Centenary Methodist Church in Measham Road, Moira, near Ashby over the weekend, said.
