"New York has been destroyed. I believe the end of the world has come. I heard it over the radio. You might as well go home to die." Those were the cries of a hysterical woman who interrupted evening services at St. Paul Methodist Church at Rader and Eugene streets in Indianapolis on Oct. 30, 1938.
