So "Australians are sick of being lectured to by the United Nations" , according the Prime Minister ("UN torture report puts Abbott on attack", March 10, p5). Well, no. I'd say many Australians are very happy that the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture, Juan Mendez - like Gillian Triggs before him - is telling it like it is.
