The most beautifully-named village in Ireland is marred because it is now the centre of an area where a ruthless criminal gang survives through terror. The very name Derrylin trips melodiously off the tongue. I travel through the village up to 20 times a year and each time I recite the name aloud, unable to resist the lovely lilt of the sound.
