Giller Prize-winning novelist Sean Michaels was an early champion of Arcade Fire. His music blog, Said the Gramophone, chronicled early shows and pre-album releases by the band. As interest in Arcade Fire and the Montreal scene grew, Said the Gramophone became an invaluable resource for new sounds emanating from the city.
