Bishop Samuel Kaziimba of Mityana Diocese has this afternoon at Namirembe cathedral’s Hannington chapel been elected by the 37 members of the House of Bishops as 9th archbishop of the Church of Uganda. Kaziimba will replace Stanley Ntagali, whose seven-year tenure officially ends on March 1, 2019.
