July 27: Lounging by my tent at the edge of a beautiful forest at Cedar Valley Park, a public park on the Cedar River where we'll start our trip tomorrow. The river looks high and full with a moderate current that'll give us a nice push. We've got a big group this year of around 200 paddlers, up slightly from last year's Great River Rumble.
