An announcement on the appeal is expected shortly after the Victorian Court of Appeal yesterday rejected the disgraced Cardinal’s bid for freedom, reports. This comes as the Archbishop of Melbourne, Peter Comensoli, said he believed the victim in the Pell case had been abused, but did not believe Pell was the perpetrator.
