The songwriter and poet behind 1967's "Listen to the Warm" was twice nominated for an Oscar -- in 1970 for the song "Jean" from "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie," and in 1971 for original song score of the Peanuts movie "A Boy Named Charlie Brown." He was 81.
