Bruce Bowie and I have had a thing for telephones. It began after our 1975 introduction at the Crestwood Community Hall where Bowie was spinning records at a school dance, or, as we called them back then, a sock hop. An avid 630 CHED listener, I noticed this new, fresh voice on the all-night show who mentioned he was from Saskatchewan.
