In 1969 I was in the service and stationed at an Army depot in Pennsylvania. April of that year I got word I was going to Vietnam by the end of July. Since I had a thirty-day leave before deployment, my wife and I decided to take a trip west. On the way back home we listened to the radio broadcast of the moon landing as we drove through Nebraska.
