For more than half a century, the wind, rain and snow have clawed at a painted sign high on a brick wall overlooking Richmond Street West. The black-and-white serif lettering has weathered and flaked away in patches, but its message is still just legible: GELBER BROS. LIMITED. WHOLESALE WOOLENS AND DRESS GOODS.
