“I thought if I got other people who can put a few sentences together then I’d get their stories from their perspective,” Doe says. “No matter how much I appreciated people from East L.A. coming into the punk rock scene, I couldn’t tell that story. “And this also relieves me of the mantle of being ‘The Authority,’” he says.
