Under attack from troops on the beach and aircraft overhead, battling through a maelstrom of choppy water and dead and dying men, Roy Clark focused on doing his D-Day duty. But as he brought tanks and troops ashore his mind was not only busy with his role in the fight to free Europe, but with what he would do if he made it back to Norfolk.
