Australia on Monday welcomed what it said was the unconditional release of journalist Peter Greste from political detention in Egypt. Prime Minister Tony Abbott said he was delighted and the nation was relieved. He also thanked Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sissi, in a speech to the National Press Club.
