Tommy Schnurmacher was an 18-year-old McGill student when he ventured downtown with a fake press pass and a box of crayons (for Ono’s five-year-old daughter, Kyoko), accompanied by his pal Gail Renard. The pair wiggled their way into the Lennon-Ono entourage and ended up hanging out for the week, babysitting Kyoko.
