NASHVILLE — Amy Grant may be the city's best known Christian music artist, but her good friend Michael W. Smith is a close second. With monster 1991 crossover hit "Place in This World," Smith secured star status with mainstream audiences. He has three Grammys, an American Music Award and more than 15 million in album sales to prove it.
