AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - A new executive editor and editor-in-chief have been named for the Austin American-Statesman. Managing editor John Bridges has been promoted to executive editor. He had borne those duties since the September resignation of Debbie Hiott, who is now general manager of KUT-FM.
