Canadian government has announced plans to welcome at least one million immigrants in the next three years to counter the country's aging population. In 2017, Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen who is an immigrant from Somali, handed 286,000 people permanent residency and it says the number could rise to 350,000 in 2019 then up to 370,000 by 2021.
