Queensland Police said the girl died in New South Wales, while officers from that state have confirmed they will seek to extradite a 48-year-old man. The nine-month-old girl was discovered unresponsive on the edge of the surf in Surfers Paradise in the early hours of Monday morning, while her four-year-old brother has been taken into care.
