KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A singing nurse at Bronson Hospital lifted the spirits of a Portage man on hospice care by singing to his favorite song while he was receiving treatment in Bronson’s cardiac unit. As it turns out, nurse Brenda Buurstra been “lighting up the lives” of patients for more than a decade.
