Philippine Catholic bishops have appealed to Manila barangays to clean their surroundings in time for Pope Francis' visit later this week.
The Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines asked barangay captains to supervise cleanup efforts, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported Tuesday.
