MANILA, Philippines - A Filipino couple from Cebu received the Queen’s Service Medal (QSM) in the 2015 New Year’s Honours List for their services to the Filipino community in New Zealand. Oscar Poquinto Batucan and his wife, Miriam Alvez Batucan, who currently live in Auckland, are said to be the first Filipino couple to be given the award.
