CARACAS, Venezuela -- Thousands of people took to the streets of the capital Wednesday following the death of Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, whose regime vowed to carry on his socialist vision. Many held photos of Chávez or wore red T-shirts bearing his likeness in impromptu vigils.
