| When is Pope Francis' visit to Ireland 2018? Dates, events, itinerary, protests and tickets |
|
Pope Francis is visiting Ireland with the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar saying "he is certainly a welcome guest and I look forward to greeting him during the visit." Pope Francis became the Holy Father in 2013 after Pope Benedict stepped down due to ill-health, and is seen by many as a liberalising force.
