Ms Bishop is declining to put herself forward as a potential prime minister despite consistently being the preferred choice of voters in opinion polls. A Daily Mail Australia poll of readers this week had her as the most popular choice to lead Australia, with 27 per cent support compared with Mr Dutton's 21 per cent.
