CALDWELL COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - The deputy who was shot and injured during a traffic stop in Caldwell County late Sunday night has been identified. Caldwell County Sheriff's Office identified Jordan Sherrill as the deputy who was shot. The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. on Cheraw Road near Pisgah Church Road.
