Thompson Twins, pictured here in front of the Tyne Bridge in 1985, were one of the iconic electronic bands of the era and one of a select group of British artists who suceeded in America. They had seven top 40 hits in the US and 10 in the UK, including You Take Me Up and Doctor Doctor.
