“Classics” is a bit of a strange release. It’s M. Ward and Zooey Deschanel’s fifth release as She & Him since 2008 and they have managed this without a dud in the bunch. Usually, they mix originals with covers. This album is different because it is all covers. It also marks the duo’s shift from Merge records to the much larger Columbia.
