The members and senators plan to make an independent submission to the government’s tax white paper outlining a plan to return 75 per cent of GST revenue collected in WA to state coffers, rather than 37 per cent currently. Pearce MP Christian Porter, a former WA treasurer, in September flagged the group’s intentions to the government party room.
