When we moved to a newly-built bungalow in Stapleford, the whole estate had Australian place names – Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart, Canberra and Adelaide to mention a few.
Melbourne. Since the area, as far as I know, has no links with Down Under, I have never been able to fathom how this came about.
