Mr Dastyari, who was exposed by Fairfax Media as having asked another Chinese donor to pay off his personal debt to the government, and contravened Australian policy on the South China Sea during a press conference with his benefactors in China, said he had left his job for a lesser political crime and called for Mr Joyce to quit.
