Labor expresses concerns over spy laws The federal opposition is worried there could be unintended consequences if the government's proposed spy laws are passed through parliament.

Labor has expressed concerns the government's proposed foreign interference and espionage laws could have unintended consequences. A Senate committee heard from a range of bodies, including media organisations, universities and the Catholic church on Tuesday, all expressing fears they will be caught up in the legislation.
