Lichfield’s MP has been thrown into the stocks by Tamworth’s mayor and council leader after he criticised the town live on BBC Radio 2 last week. MP Michael Fabricant has apologised for his negative comments about the town after he asked why anyone would go to Tamworth when he was interviewed by broadcaster Jeremy Vine.
