Simon Ateba is not Ahmed Abba. More than once, however, media outlets have mistakenly identified a photo of Ateba as being Abba, a Cameroonian journalist for Radio France International convicted of terrorism-related charges in April 2017 for reporting on the Boko Haram militant group.
