SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Shaleek Carrears, an energetic 8-year-old who loved to dance and do back flips, dreamed of growing up to be a ninja, said his father, Jermaine Moore. "He wanted to become a ninja so he could protect Daddy," Moore said. Moore sat outside his family's home on Hartson Street in Syracuse reliving memories of his son now gone from him.
