A Sept. 6 debate among three Democratic candidates for mayor may prove crucial for the pair of underdogs taking on incumbent Byron W. Brown. The mayor and challengers Mark J.F. Schroeder and Betty Jean Grant have agreed to participate in a televised face-off sponsored by WNED/WBFO, WGRZ/Channel 2, and The Buffalo News.
