George L. Burney Sr., a nearly lifelong advocate for civil rights who founded an annual motorcade and parade honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., has died at age 89 after an illness. Burney was an accomplished dancer who cut back on being an entertainer to dedicate most of his adult life to promoting Dr.
