Cornwall beaches monitored by Environment Agency after concerns over harmful algae
Algae which could be harmful to humans has been discovered on three beaches in Cornwall. They are believed to have been blown onshore by the heavy winds recently brought by Storm Ellen. They were found at Poldhu and Church Cove, on the Lizard Peninsula, as well as at Portwrinkle, on Friday and Saturday.
