St Patrick's Day parades cancelled in Claremorris, Cork & Dublin
The St Patrick's Day Parade in Claremorris will not go ahead next week. Midwest News understands it's the first parade in Mayo to have been cancelled, as fears grow over the spread of Coronavirus. There's no decision yet in relation to parades in Castlebar, Westport or Ballina.

ALONE launches new helpline for elderly people concerned about coronavirus
A national helpline has been launched today for elderly people who have concerns about the coronavirus outbreak. ALONE - the organisation that supports older people - is operating the helpline in association with the Department of Health and the HSE. The helpline number is 0818 222 024, and is open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday.
