I’VE been to the Abbey in Mount Melleray in Waterford many, many times but never stayed there. Fifty years ago my maternal grandmother and Mrs McSweeney from Fermoy used stay there for a few days. These two women were not related but their late husbands were second cousins. Mount Melleray had a bigger community of Cistercians back then.

Coronavirus: Where no flu vacation, attendance at school optional – Bulgaria’s Education Ministry
The border crossings between Serbia and Bulgaria at Oltomantsi, Strezimirovtsi and Bregovo have been closed until further notice as a step against the spread of Covid-19 new coronavirus. Traffic to and from Serbia is being diverted to pass through the Kalotina and Vrashka border checkpoints, Bulgarian National Radio said on March 12.
